I think I’ve seen three or four episodes of this series, and every single one is pretty much like this. Canned laughter over running the dialogue.

This original version was rewritten into an unfunny comedy by the line producer Gene Coon apparently unaware that Uncle Miltie was also a serious dramatic actor and a good one. It t was so bad that I complained to Roddenberry.

“This is so lousy, Gene, that you should kill it!” I told him. “You can’t, you shouldn’t, shoot this thing! Read it and weep!”

Gene did, and he agreed with me. I killed my second Star Trek, which, down through the years has cost me tens of thousands of dollars in lost residuals.

Rumor has it that the Phase II guys have gotten their hands on the script and are planning on filming it.

I don’t think I currently have any cartoons that I’m watching (besides MLP), it’ll be nice to have something new on that’s worth watching. And is animated.

Could have done without the “Golly Gee, Coming soon to nick!” voice over though.

It’s no wonder, then, that a true fan of Joss Whedon’s Firefly TV Series and motion picture Serenity would have a 1:400th scale model of the beloved ship on his or her desk. 8 inches long, hand painted and cast from dozens of parts – some as small as a millimeter, her design matches the model used in Firefly down to the smallest detail. There’s even two little removable shuttles in case your on-board companion needs to take a side-trip.

So I’ve been watching this… it’s the only period drama television series that I’ve ever really gotten into, and by golly, I really like it.
It helps that 99% of the women in it are fabulously beautiful, my favorite of which is Jessica Brown Findlay as Lady Sybil Crawley.
